Ceramic Coating Service Agreement
Bishops Car Care
This Ceramic Coating Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Bishops Car Care (“the
Company”) and the customer (“the Client”) for the provision of ceramic coating and vehicle detailing services.
By booking a ceramic coating service with Bishops Car Care, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms and
conditions set out below.
1. Booking & Payment Terms
1.1 A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all ceramic coating bookings.
1.2 The remaining balance of the agreed quotation must be paid in full upon completion of the work and prior to
vehicle collection or return.
1.3 In the event of cancellation, the ceramic coating products allocated to the Client’s booking will be held for a
period of 30 days from the cancellation date, allowing the Client the opportunity to re-book their appointment.
1.4 If the Client does not re-book within the 30-day period, the original deposit will be retained by Bishops Car
Care and a new deposit may be required for any future booking.
1.5 Bishops Car Care reserves the right to refuse release of the vehicle until outstanding balances have been
settled in full.
2. Mandatory Paint Preparation & Polishing
2.1 The Client understands and agrees that machine polishing and paint preparation are mandatory requirements
prior to the application of any ceramic coating.
2.2 Paint correction and polishing are essential to ensure the coating bonds correctly to the vehicle’s paintwork
and achieves the highest possible finish.
2.3 Bishops Car Care reserves the right to recommend the appropriate level of polishing or correction based on
the condition of the vehicle upon inspection.
2.4 Ceramic coating services will not be carried out on paintwork deemed unsuitable without the required
preparation stage.
3. Ceramic Coating Application & Cure Times
3.1 Following application, the ceramic coating requires a curing period to fully bond with the vehicle’s paintwork.
3.2 The Client agrees to follow all aftercare instructions provided by Bishops Car Care.
3.3 During the initial curing period:
- The vehicle must remain dry for a minimum of 24 hours following application.
- The vehicle should not be washed using chemicals or detergents for at least 7 days after application.
- Automatic car washes, abrasive cleaning products, and harsh chemicals must be avoided.
3.4 Failure to follow the recommended curing and aftercare guidance may negatively affect the performance and
durability of the coating.
4. Maintenance Requirements
4.1 Ceramic coatings require regular maintenance every 4 weeks to maintain performance, gloss, hydrophobic
properties, and longevity.
4.2 Bishops Car Care strongly recommends enrolling in a maintenance package or scheduled maintenance
programme to reduce the risk of coating degradation or failure.
4.3 Failure to maintain the coating correctly may void any applicable warranty offered by Bishops Car Care.
5. Annual Reapplication
5.1 The Client acknowledges that the ceramic coating should be professionally inspected and reapplied every 12
monthsto maintain optimum protection and finish.
5.2 The condition of the vehicle, maintenance history, and environmental exposure may affect coating longevity.
6. Warranty
6.1 Bishops Car Care warrants that the ceramic coating product will be professionally applied using industry-
standard preparation and installation procedures.
6.2 This warranty is limited solely to defects arising directly from the application process carried out by Bishops Car
Care.
6.3 The warranty does not cover:
- Scratches or swirl marks
- Stone chips
- Environmental contamination
- Bird droppings or tree sap damage
- Improper washing methods
- Automatic car wash damage
- Chemical damage
- Neglect or lack of maintenance
- Damage caused by third parties or accidents
6.4 Failure to follow the required maintenance schedule and aftercare guidance may void any warranty provided.
6.5 Ceramic coating is designed to provide enhanced protection and ease of maintenance; however, it does not
make the vehicle scratch-proof, chip-proof, or damage-proof.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 Once the ceramic coating service has been completed and the vehicle has been returned to the Client, Bishops
Car Care shall not be held liable for any future damage to the vehicle’s paintwork or coating.
7.2 The Client acknowledges that normal wear and tear, environmental exposure, and improper maintenance may
impact the coating over time.
7.3 Bishops Car Care shall not be liable for pre-existing paint defects, weak clear coat, resprayed panels, or
previously damaged paintwork.
8. Client Acknowledgement
By signing below, the Client confirms that they:
- Have read and understood this Agreement;
- Agree to all terms and conditions outlined herein;
- Understand the maintenance and aftercare requirements associated with ceramic coating services;
- Accept the limitations of ceramic coating protection.
