Ceramic Coating Norfolk
Professional ceramic coating applied to your vehicle at your home or workplace. Long lasting hydrophobic protection that keeps your car cleaner for longer.
What is Ceramic Coating?
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to your vehicle’s paintwork that chemically bonds with the surface, creating a long lasting layer of protection. Unlike traditional wax or sealants that sit on top of the paint, ceramic coating becomes part of the surface itself.
The result is a hydrophobic finish that repels water, dirt and contaminants, making your car significantly easier to clean and keeping it looking freshly detailed for far longer than conventional products.
Bishops Car Care applies ceramic coating to all vehicle types across Norfolk, coming directly to your home or workplace so you never have to drop your car off anywhere.
Why Paint Preparation Is Essential
Before any ceramic coating is applied, your vehicle’s paintwork must be properly prepared. This is not optional, it is a requirement for every ceramic coating booking at Bishops Car Care.
Ceramic coating bonds directly with the surface of your paintwork. Any swirl marks, scratches, contamination or imperfections present at the time of application will be sealed underneath the coating permanently. This is why machine polishing and decontamination must be carried out first.
At Bishops Car Care, the condition of every vehicle is assessed before work begins. The appropriate level of preparation is recommended based on what the paintwork needs, ensuring the coating bonds correctly and achieves the best possible finish.
The Process
STep 1
Inspection
Every vehicle is assessed under specialist lighting before work begins. Paint condition, existing defects and contamination levels are checked to determine the correct preparation required before any coating is applied.
STep 2
Decontamination & Polish
The vehicle undergoes a full safe wash followed by chemical and mechanical decontamination. Machine polishing is then carried out to ensure a properly clean surface for good adhesion. No coating is applied until the paintwork is ready.
STep 3
Coating Application
The ceramic coating is applied panel by panel in a controlled environment. The coating chemically bonds with the paintwork creating a durable hydrophobic layer. Factory finish panels are fully warranted during this process.
STep 4
Cure Time
The vehicle remains with us for a minimum of 24 hours after application. Bubbles and lifting edges can appear as the coating dries and having the vehicle with us during this period means any issues are identified and corrected before you get your car back.
Aftercare Requirements
Following these guidelines protects your investment and ensures the coating performs at its best for years to come.
No water contact for 24 hours after application
No car wash or harsh chemicals for 7 days
Avoid bird droppings, tree sap and industrial fallout during curing
Never use automatic car washes with brushes
